"Empire" rappresenta senza dubbio il caso televisivo dell'anno. Creata dal blasonato Lee Daniels, gia' conosciuto per aver diretto pellicole pluripremiate come "Precious" e "The Butler", la serie ha raccolto consensi unanimi da critica e pubblico tanto che il successo della prima stagione di solo 12 episodi mandata in onda nella scorsa primavera ha convinto la rete a trasmettere la seconda stagione di sei episodi più lunga il prima possibile.
Without any doubt Empire represents the TV case of the year 2015. Created by the talented Lee Daniels, renown for having directed well recognized pictures such as Precious and The Butler, the series has been loved both by the audience and the critics and, after the major success of the first 12 episode season aired last winter, the network convinced itself to produce a longer second season as soon as possible.

Per Lucious e la sua famiglia ho preparato un piatto utilizzando il profumatissimo riso venere, noto in Cina anche come riso proibito perché poteva essere mangiato solo dagli imperatori! Vi presento la ricetta del RISO VENERE CON CREMA DI ZUCCA!
For Lucious and his family I prepared a dish using the very fragrant black rice, known in China were it was first harvested as prohibited rice because it could be eaten only by the emperors! I present you the recipe of PROHIBITED RICE WITH PUMPKIN!
Ingredienti: 200gr di riso venere, olio, trito di verdure per soffritto, 150gr di zucca, rosmarino, 50ml di panna da cucina.
Ingredients: 200gr of prohibited rice, oil, diced onion, carrot and celery, 150gr of pumpkin, rosemary, 50ml of creme fraiche.
Tagliate la zucca a cubetti dopo aver tolto la buccia e fatela bollire in acqua salata per 15 minuti. Scolate i cubetti con una schiumaiola e utilizzate la stessa acqua per cuocere anche il riso (per il tempo di cottura guardate bene sulla scatola).
Cut the pumpkin into little cubes after removing the peel and make it boil in salted water for 15 minutes. Once ready, take to cubes off and use the same boiling water for the rice (check on the box the cooking time).
Nel frattempo mettete i cubetti di zucca ad insaporire in una padella con un filo d'olio, il trito per il soffritto e qualche rametto di rosmarino.
In the meantime put the pumpkin cubes in a pan with some oil, the diced onion, carrot and celery and rosemary.
Scolate bene il riso e conditelo con dell'olio affinché i chicchi non si attacchino. Togliete dalla padella il rosmarino e frullate la zucca e le verdure con la panna fino a che non diventino una crema liscia. Impiattate con una manciata di cubetti di zucca.
Drain the rice and pour a spoon of oil on it so that it does not stick. Whisk very well the pumpkin and the other vegetables (remove the rosemary) with creme fraiche till it becomes smooth. Serve it hot or cold.
